2000 Census Chicago Undercount Orig Political Cartoon Art Three Stooges Indy 500
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 2000. The artwork probably refers to the initial response by Chicagoans to the 2000 census forms, with just a little over half responding. Other famous undercounts are shown: the Two Stooges, the Dozen Mom March, & the Indy 100 Yard Dash. On the margin below the art "Ear to Ground" is written in pencil (which could be a caption). The artwork measures approx. 10-1/4" x 14-1/4". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - the artist's work shows, with some corrections as the piece was crafted - there is some light dirt on it - there is some light dirt on the back along with a small piece of clear tape. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator. Jack Higgins worked at the Chicago Sun-Times for over 35 years and won a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1989. Check out my other listings for some other original artwork by Jack Higgins.
