1995 Million Man March Original Editoral Cartoon Art National Mall Washington DC
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1995. The artwork show crowds on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. with the voice balloon "From here on I don't think it's the number that counts". The art is probably in response to the controversy when the U.S. Park Police gave an estimate of 400,000 in attendance. (The cartoon doesn't mention the Million Man March, but based on the voice balloon and since it was published in 1995, I'm sure that's what the artist was referring to.) The artwork measures approx. 11-1/4" x 14-3/4". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/light dirt along the edges - there is a small scribble on the bottom margin - there are some newspaper layout editor notes along the left margin - there are a few minor corrections on the art, where you can see as the artists crafted his work - there are a couple very minor bends to the tips of the corners. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator.
