1988 Supreme Court Curbs Student Press Orig Cartoon Art Jack Higgins Newspaper
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1988. On the back is has a date stamp of Jan 15 '88 at 6:46pm, so it was probably run a day or two after that. The artwork deals with the 1988 Supreme Court ruling that the 1st Amendment rights of students were not violated when a St Louis, Missouri high school official stopped the publication of an article about teen pregnancy in the school's newspaper. The artwork measures approx. 11-3/8" x 15". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few marks/smudges/light dirt on the art - the artist's work shows, with some minor corrections as the piece was crafted - on the back there are some layout editor notes and some light dirt. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator.
