1996 Atlanta GA Olympics Original Editorial Cartoon Art Jack Higgins Coke USSR
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1996. The artwork probably was published shortly before the Olympics took place. The artworks mentions: "the Cream Team" (basketball?); "USSR Not" refers to 11 ex-Soviet countries competing for the first time individually since the breakup of the Soviet Union; heat will be the dominant story, "No Pepsi, Coke!" (since it is Atlanta). The artwork measures approx. 11-1/8" x 15-3/4". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/ light dirt on the art - there are editor notes written along the bottom edge - you can see where the artist made some corrections as he crafted his work.
