2002 IL Gov George Ryan Death Penalty Clemency Orig Cartoon Art Jack Higgins
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 2002. The artwork deals with Illinois Governor George Ryan ordering clemency hearings for all death row inmates, which upset the families and friends of the murder victims. The artwork measures approx. 10-5/8" x 14-1/2". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - the artist's work shows, with some corrections as the piece was crafted - there is some light dirt on it - on the back there is some ink migration from other cartoons that were stored under it. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator. Jack Higgins has worked at the Chicago Sun-Times for over 35 years and won a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1989. Check out my other listings for a few other cartoons by Jack Higgins. Combine auction wins to save on postage. If you want to buy more than one item - e-mail me and, wait for me to send an updated invoice with combined postage.
