1981 Chicago St Patrick's Day Parade Jane Byrne Orig Editor Cartoon Jack Higgins
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins editorial cartoon dated 1981. It was probably in the Chicago Sun-Times as he started working for them that year. The art deals with Chicago's famous St. Patrick's Day parade, along with Mayor Jane Byrne and the usual politicians who march. The artwork measures approx. 11-1/2" x 17-5/8". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. You can see where the artist made corrections as he crafted the art. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/light dirt on the art - the corners have minor bends - there is ink transfer on the back from artwork that was stored under this art - there is some light dirt on the back. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator. Jack Higgins has worked at the Chicago Sun-Times for over 35 years and won a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1989. Check out my other listings for more cartoons by Jack Higgins.
