1997 Chicago Bears & White Sox Fans Sacked Orig Cartoon Art Jack Higgins
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1997. The artwork may refer to the White Sox white flag trade at the end of July trading 3 Major League players for 6 minor leaguers despite being less than 4 games behind the first place team. Bears fan were upset losing their first five games in September. The title on the art is "The Midwest Sack Exchange". The artwork measures approx. 11-5/8" x 14-1/2". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created and you can see some corrections as he crafted his artwork. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges on the art - there are a few editor notes along the bottom margin - there is a 1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of cellophane tape/sticker at the bottom of the front. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator.
