1995 Michael Jordan Returns to NBA Chicago Bulls Orig Cartoon Art Jack Higgins
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1995. The artwork deals with Michael Jordan, "The Second Coming" when he decided to end his 17 month retirement from basketball. This art may have been done prior to taking the court for the first time in March of 1995 as Jordan is shown with his original jersey number of 23, but in his first game back he wore his new number of 45. This art may have been done when rumors of a comeback surfaced when Jordan started practicing with the Bulls prior to his "I'm Back" announcement, The artwork measures approx. 11-1/2" x 14-1/2". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/ light dirt on the art - there are editor notes written along the left edge - you can see a few corrections as the artist crafted his work.
