1979 Pope John Paul II Interfaith Meeting Protestants Orig Cartoon Jack Higgins
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Daily Northwestern editorial cartoon dated 1979. The art refers to a meeting Roman Catholic Pope Paul II invited representatives of different churches to in Washington in October of 1979. The interfaith meeting included Protestant, evangelical, Episcopal and Eastern Orthodox representatives. The artwork measures approx. 11-3/8" x 17-1/2". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. You can see where the artist made corrections as he crafted the art. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/light dirt on the art - there is light toning/dirt along the right and left edges - there is ink transfer on the back from artwork that was stored under this art - there is some light dirt on the back - there are a few editor's notes written on the back. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator.
