2010 Harry Caray Tavern Wrigley Field Chicago Cubs Orig Cartoon Art Jack Higgins
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 2010. The cartoon shows tow Chicago police officers following a trail from the Harry Caray statue at Wrigley Field south across Sheffield where it leads to Harry Caray's Tavern. One of the police officers says "The trail leads to his tavern and back!" and someone out of view responds "That explains the missing Buds...". A great cartoon with the iconic Wrigley Field bleachers and scoreboard in the background along with the Harry Caray Statue. Harry Caray's Tavern even has a Harry Caray flag hanging out front. And they mention missing Budweiser beer. The artwork measures approx. 11-1/2" x 14-1/2". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - there are a couple small marks/smudges on the art - you can see where the artist made some touch-ups to the art as he crafted his work - there is a 2-1/2" diagonal crease in the lower right hand corner of the border. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator. Jack Higgins has worked at the Chicago Sun-Times for over 35 years and won a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1989. Check out my listings for more cartoons by Jack Higgins.
