1995 Operation Silver Shovel Chicago Illegal Dump Orig Cartoon Art Jack Higgins
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1995. The artwork deals with an illegal dump near Kildare and Roosevelt in a neighborhood on the west side of Chicago that figured into the Federal investigation called Operation Silver Shovel. The illegally dumped construction debris was piled five stories high. A Mountain from a Molehill. The artwork measures approx. 11-1/2" x 14-1/2". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - you can see some spots where the artist made corrections as he crafted his art - there are a few small marks/smudges/ light dirt on the art - there is a light 1-1/2" diagonal crease in the upper right hand corner - there are a couple light 3" horizontal creases along the top - there are numerous 1-1/2" creases along the right border - the tips of the corners have some minor bends - there are layout editor notes written along the left edge. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator.
