1979 Ted Kennedy Presidential Run Orig Political Cartoon Art Jack Higgins Carter
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Daily Northwestern editorial cartoon dated 1979. The art uses a cat and mouse theme and probably came out in the Fall, when Ted Kennedy was considering a Presidential run against President Jimmy Carter (or maybe just after he announced his run in November of 1979). The artwork measures approx. 12-1/2" x 17-1/2". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. You can see where the artist made corrections as he crafted the art. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/light dirt on the art - there is toning/dirt along the borders - there is ink transfer on the back from artwork that was stored under this art - there is some light dirt on the back - there are a few editor's notes written on the back. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator. Jack Higgins has worked at the Chicago Sun-Times for over 35 years and won a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1989. Check out my listings for more cartoons by Jack Higgins.
