THIS VERY RARE ONE SHEET VERY RARELY SHOWS UP FOR SALE AT AUCTION ANYWHERE. OBVIOUSLY AS A RE-RELEASE POSTER WAY, WAY, WAY LESS AS MANY WERE PRINTED FOR THIS 10TH ANN. RE-RELEASE THEN FOR THE ORIGINAL RELEASE. YET THIS IS FAR RARER THEN THE USUAL 10TH ANN. ONE SHEET AS THIS ONE WAS PRINTED ONLY FOR THE BEACON THEATRE IN NYC FOR HALLOWEEN NITE 1985 . When this cult classic was all the rage in 1985 other theatre's too also used the basic design of the one sheet and added there 10th ann. promotional info in the upper left and right as this major theatre did but they are all extremely rare!! , because printing a one sheet like this even then was a thousand dollars cost and that got you about 500 posters , and that's extremely likely how many of these were printed , as they wouldn't of needed more , and by the way you can't buy less then this because it costs the same anyway due to the set up charges. The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the cult classic 1975 Jim Sharman directed horror comedy musical stars Tim Curry (as Dr. Frank N Furter), Susan Sarandon (as Janet), Barry Bostwick, Nell Campbell, Meat Loaf, Peter Hinwood (in the title role as "Rocky"), "Little Nell" (as "Columbia"), Patricia Quinn (as "Magenta"), and Richard O'Brien (as "Riff Raff"). ABOUT THE AUTOGRAPH- Tim it is well known has very rarely signed autograph's these last 40 years since the film came out - he has been busy with a enormous body of work stretching from then until now both here in the USA and internationally and on the stage and screen. I suppose like many thespians his desire was to be in the now on the current work and so his signature is quite rare especially on original advertising material like this piece. Autographed on March 4th, 2014 here in Los Angeles where I am also. THE TOP PHOTO IS OF THIS POSTER BEFORE IT WAS AUTOGRAPHED - I HAD THE ONLY ORIGINAL OR OTHERWISE EXAMPLES OF THIS POSTER HE SIGNED THIS DAY SO THE ONE'S HE'S SIGNING IN THE PHOTO (2ND FROM THE TOP) ARE MY 9 COPIES, YOU CAN SEE MY ADDITIONAL SUPPLY IN THE BACKGROUND. I had 21 original one sheets and 15 lobby card's autographed for me thru Dave Elkoulby's private signing with him on March 4th and 5th 2014. He is the current owner of the HOLLYWOOD SHOW that used to be the famous Ray Courts THE HOLLYWOOD COLLECTOR'S SHOW for about 20 years before him, and is one of the largest movie memorabilia autograph dealers on the west coast. I am offering and including a COA on the autograph with this piece from him. The photo's of Tim autographing are from Dave and are from this 2 day period where almost all the items signed were 8 by 10 inch color photo's except for my original advertising material and a very few other original pieces that weren't mine. I just now looked thru 23 auctions currently on the internet on several venues for TIM CURRY autographs , it is extremely obvious many are suspect as they don't look anything like his autograph! take a look!, the one's that look like his signature on this poster you'll notice ARE EXACTLY LIKE THE SIGNATURE ON THIS POSTER . My point is this - I do a lot of business with Dave and am even in his store in Hollywood - STARWORLD right on the most famous part of Hollywood boulevard with over a thousand of my movie posters and do business with him constantly and have seen a very large sample of these autographs on many different photo's personally on the 8 by 10 photo's he signed mostly during these 2 days and they don't vary much at all- they are remarkably consistent throughout !!. These wildly different autographs you see offered ALL OVER THE PLACE on the internet that don't even remotely resemble his autograph are obviously fakes! so PLEASE BE A CAREFUL BUYER.
