MANHATTAN MIDNIGHT MURDER MYSTERY MOVIE POSTER ROLLED 27x41 WOODY ALLEN
Welcome to the auction of a rolled near mint condition American one sheet size 27 by 41 inch movie poster of Manhattan , the style B . This 1979 Woody Allen film stars Woody Allen, Diane Keaton and Mariel Hemingway .This is a probable reprint that came out around 1988 . It is from original technical materials as was Bladerunner, Excalibur, and several others that were suddenly available all from the same well known dealer in Murfreesboro, Tennesee at that time . All big dealer back in the late 1980's were called by him as I was . They were utterly indistinguishable from other originals in some cases like Bladerunner and have been mixed in with all the other original Bladerunner out there then and now. There is no way in this case to tell "his" supply of these one sheets and they sell for extremely high prices as originals and others like the Excalibur that were printed on very thin paper and became obviously not original and stayed separate in the collector's market by this noticeable difference . So although considered a reprint the Manhattan Style B I am offerring are printed from original NSS separations , the printing "technical materials" of that time and are almost as old as originals ( 25 years ago -1988 versus 34 years ago -1979) and are not the usual reprint quality where they are out of focus , with cheap inks and fuzzy credits and so forth -but are spot on perfect in the printing from original technical materials like his Bladerunner for example were . Since almost all or all original Manhattan style B that exist were distributed folded by the NSS , these copies are suspect as they are rolled but they are a full 27 by 41 inches have all the NSS markings and are perfect as far as the printing quality . I ran out of these in the 1980's or early 90's even though I had bought several hundred - I got my current supply almost 20 years later after Joe Martinez the largest movie poster dealer by far for decades on the west coast passed away and was offered and I absorbed his inventory on this title and was aware of there origin. And as you can see I have priced them as a reprint.
