FRIDAY THE 13TH MOVIE POSTER 27x40 ORIGINAL ONE SHEET 1980 HORROR - NOT A NSS
You are bidding on a original rolled , not a reprint FRIDAY THE 13TH movie poster. Friday the Thirteenth, the classic 1980 Sean S. Cunningham slasher horror mystery thriller ("They were warned... They are doomed... And on Friday the 13th, nothing will save them."). The film stars Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Harry Crosby, Laurie Bartram, Mark Nelson, Jeannine Taylor, Robbi Morgan, Kevin Bacon, and Ari Lehman (as Jason Voorhees). This poster features Alex Ebel artwork. This poster - about 1500 of them - I bought directly MYSELF from the studio more than 20 years ago . This poster and many others were purchased directly from Paramount Pictures Studio after they contacted me (they were referred to me by David Hammocker the owner at the time of Western Graphics a poster company in Oregon) when their so called "Special Effects" catalog , get it , special effects as in "Effects, ones personal property or belongings" as in special - get it oohh man that's clever aint it ? which had a original movie poster section when this venture went out of business in the 1980s. Paramount liquidated a large inventory of one sheets that were on the books of this owned by the studio company , I was the largest buyer of these assets at that time AND THIS REALLY IS A STUDIO ISSUE ORIGINAL ONE SHEET SIZE MOVIE POSTER. it's not 41 inches high , it's 40 inches and it doesn't have the NSS markings at the bottom , but that doesn't make it a fake !!! anymore then the STAR TREK IV which at about the same time period also had both a 40 inch non NSS print run and a 41 inch NSS print run done for instance. It is not a NSS version poster so if your looking for that do not bid. The 2003 Poster Price Almanac list Friday the 13th poster from $26-90 and since then this poster has been going for even more based on Ebay results. This poster is exactly 27 by 40 inches and is in near mint condition or better, which means UNUSED!! No pinholes, no tape marks�etc. Until recently all the reprints of this poster out there seemed to be all 39 inches tall. Then Moviegoods I think is now offering a full size version . Upon reciept it is extremely obvious and immediately apparent this is a original printing dead on sharp as would be possible and on paper almost 30 years old.
