THIS IS A AUCTION OF A 1988 BRITISH SUBWAY PROMOTIONAL POSTER FOR THE THOMAS DOLBY IN ALIENS ATE MY BUICK RECORD ALBUM ,IT IS ABSOLUTELY HUGE !!!! ABOUT 40 BY 60 INCHES IN SIZE AND IS IN UNUSED BUT ONLY FINE CONDITION AS THE EDGE HAS SOME SMALL RIPS AND CRUMPLING IN A FEW AREAS AND A HORIZONTAL CREASE ABOUT 10 INCHES FROM THE TOP . THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL POSTER BUT A RARE NEVER FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC PROMOTIONAL POSTER PRINTED ON THICK PAPER. Unfortunately my $8000 wide image scanner is only 36 inches wide and so a few inches are missing from the left and right edges of the scan although it is complete from top to bottom. ADD $12 TO YOUR WINNING BID FOR INSURED SHIPMENT IN A THICK STRONG VERY BIG TUBE IT MUST BE SHIPPED IN TO PROTECT IT. I'VE ADDED SOME INFO ON THOMAS DOLBY BELOW. Thomas Dolby born Thomas Robertson in 1958 in Cairo, Egypt, dropped out of school to pursue music in 1974; performed with Jamaican R&B band and played jazz in restaurants; played synthesizers for Bruce Wooley and the Camera Club, late 1970s; toured Europe and U.S. with Lene Lovich; played in Paris subways; played synthesizer for Foreigner, Def Leppard, Joan Armatrading, and Malcolm McClaren, early 1980s; released debut single, "Urges," 1981; signed with EMI Records; released first album, The Golden Age of Wireless, Capitol, 1982; co-produced Joni Mitchell's Dog Eat Dog and produced albums by George Clinton and Prefab Sprout, 1985; participated in Live Aid concert; participated in Roger Waters's production of The Wall, West Berlin, 1990. Composer of film scores. Founder of virtual reality company Headspace. In 1987 Dolby settled in Los Angeles, the audacity, materialism, and tackiness of which he vividly captured in 1988's Aliens Ate My Buick. Selected Discography
