Excellent condition in Picture Window Box! Original Braids.
Kaya is a special release from American Girl�s Historical Doll line, approved by the Nez Perce Indian tribe for accuracy and authenticity. She has the sweetest, most innocent face and the longest hair of any doll in the line, with black braids reaching mid-thigh.
First in the series, Kaya represents a Nez Perce Indian girl from 1764 who loves horses and the wild country she calls home. Every detail is stunning, from the shell ornaments in her braids to her hand-decorated buckskin dress with beads and fringe. Her buckskin moccasins, tied with leather straps up to her shins, look incredibly authentic. She is used but in excellent condition, complete with her original box and the first version book cover for Book 1, *Meet Kaya, An American Girl*. The back of her neck is stamped �Pleasant Co 2002.�I am only calling her used because she was purchased as new on secondary market.
First edition dolls can be identified by their belt�two separate pieces tied with leather�unlike later versions with a single belt and leather bow. This doll�s belt shows some wear and cracking due to age, and her moccasins appear a bit unusual (see photos). Her original face mold is fuller and especially charming. Please note: she is over 20 years old, so if you are sensitive to odors or mold, this may not be the right item for you.

Any authorized returns must be made within 3 days and postage is at buyers expense. Refund for item only, original cost of shipping cannot be refunded.
