This is a limited run of these Cam sets. Unknown if they will be manufactured for sale in the future. If you own an Akai Reel to Reel that uses cams grab this set while they are available. The manufacture vows to keep them in stock to honor any future warranty claims but does not guarantee they will manufacture them in set for sale in the future.

 Some models will use all 5 pieces in this set. Some Models will use 4 pieces. And some will use three of the pieces. We only sell this set in the 5 piece set. 

You presently own an Akai Reel to Reel that has crumbling or damaged cams that need replacement. 

You presently own an Akai Reel to Reel that uses cams in their Control Assembly and is presently working fine. Your cams could go out at any time in the future. Have a set on hand to repair your unit or upgrade to these lifetime cams. 

You are a Tech or a Shop that works on Akai Reel to Reel units. Have a Set or two in stock to be able to fix a unit with crumbling cams. 

This Cam Set comes complete with Instructions and Warranty Card. 

After 10 long months of development and extensive testing these cams sets are ready to go. Understanding some people might feel that going from metal to a plastic material for making these replacement cams would make them less durable. Rest assured these new cams are industrial strength and has been engineered to hold up in use far better than the original metal ones did. Looking at the cams is deceptive. Inside each cam is a well designed honeycombed structure. After many prototypes that took numerous adjustments we did months of in-deck stress testing trying to make them fail, abusing them,and they held up great without one fail.
